I had a tough time finding a clamp hanger that would hold a heavy weight Kilt but I finally found them at Target Stores, it's been a while since I purchased them but they are a dark wood with the metal rod with two spring loaded 'clothespin' like holders and my Kilts have stayed on since I put them there, also the hanger is as wide as any clothes hanger and I add my Kilt jackets on top of the Kilts. I hope you all can find these, they work great even for a regimental weight Kilt.

I solved the problem by taping two clip type skirt hanger together with DUCK TAPE! Works great! Provides twice the clamping / holding strength.

Ah Blu, you know the saying, if a woman can't find you handsome, she should at least find you handy!

Ive mentioned these hangers before
If you want a big heavy duty kilt hanger that is a little pricey try this one. hhttp://www.komfikilt.com/hangerkiltP1.htm
I have one and it works great on my 16 oz tartan.
