Aye Ham,
Think UK offered a white workmans with a cloth hammer strap for the folks who wouldn't wear leather...think the leather bled worses to the white too. I know I'm already removing leather stains just from my belts.
The one they had on scratch and dent happened to be a cloth strap one....I ain't picky, just wanted the white before it disappeared and grabbed it.

I've lost count of the number of times I've washed my Workmans and the leather has never bled.

Thanks for the answers guys. That make's perfect sense to call a kilt made specially leather-free to be called a "vegan." Very neat.

Kilted While Fencing
I really like the looks of this kilt. I enjoy fencing Olympic style, and I think it would go really well with my barely off white fencing jacket, and white fencing hose. It looks thick enough to take a strong poke.

Once again Ron, top images. The tats are wicked mate, do when thou can.But you might get escorted from the mall with that look.
The tan jacket's good with the Vegan off white, so I reckon all those earth tones would do well. Maybe not "traditional" hose if there's any such thing any more, but stone, browns, olive and the army greens'd work fine as sugested. not the full on bright colours but medium and dusty ones.
And that said I'd love to see the Hopi embroidery. that'd make unique man, very choice. Then you'd have a very different kilt on your hands.

Hey Reggie,
I used to fence over 40 years ago in college. Bet a kilt would give you more manuverability - and advantage.
And Oz,
I'm down in Hopiland now, but looking at the kilt, no clue how they could embroider it other than the narrow apron, which would make it look like a loincloth....not sure that's the look I want.
Wore it to work yesterday and for the drive down to Hopi today...trying to break it in by wearing it a lot. Really coming to like it a lot....but then, I'm a sucker for most any kilt....

I've seen a lot of concern about what to match with a white kilt...
there is one item that would be more than a perfect match, for this or any kilt..
a full kilt flask!
