As I said before, I've been in stip clubs all over the world and worn many different types of clothing in them. It doesn't have anything to do with what you're wearing, if some half-wit decides to start a fight he's going to do it. You have to be ready for it whether you're wearing a kilt, a Class "A" uniform or a set of fatigues, (BDUs today).
This is just a small life lesson in case you get into a situation and it NEEDS to be handled...
Your attitude means a lot as well but I'll tell you what, if some idiot decides to give you a hard time because of what you choose to wear make sure that it makes you extremely angry that he's trying to ruin your evening and angry enough so that you ultimately ruin his evening. Where did he get the idea that he had a right to try and ruin your evening? The idiot needs to be hurt badly enough so that he will never pick a fight with anyone again and especially a man in a kilt. It definately won't be the first time that a kilted braveheart taught a lesson to a drunk.
I especially liked the great big guys that had a great big chip on their shoulders, I also knew that they had extremely bad knees. Any big men out there that have good knees? I didn't think so. I've had big men back down simply because I told them I was going after their knees and they'd never walk again or at least they'd never walk out of the bar on their own.
Besides, running away in a kilt is so much better than running in jeans...lol!
Chris.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I've been without internet for a few days so I need dto catch up.
1. I was asking if it was a good idea to wear the kilt, not if it was a good idea to go at all. My wife informed me that we were going, so I really didn't have a choice in that.
2. It's out of state, so bumping into someone who knows me or, heaven forbid, a former student, is highly unlikely. That's the reason I've never gone to the local Hooters. Not that I have anything against the place, I just don't want to run the risk of seeing one of my students in short shorts.
3. This is apparently a very nice establishment. Not a dive or other sketchy type of joint. I've been in those places before and don't want to do that again regardless of uniform.
Thanks for all the comments. I think it's time to let this thread drift off into the ether...If the trip proves interesting I'll post again.
