I had the same problem, My father served with the Cameronion Scottish Riffles, he was Badly injured at the Normandy landings,& died when I was 14 some 46 years ago, I now wear his cap badge on my day Sporron in his memory. Wear it with Pride to honour your Brother, as I do for my Father

I think it's a great idea, and we need to honour our brethren because few civilians do. I'm still looking to fit a brooch pin to an old cap-badge to wear as a kilt pin.
