Very nice kilt, Hamish. I particularly like the dressed look with the jacket. They look nice together and as usual you are looking great.
Cheers! Bill

Hamish,
I too am partial to the second (formal) picture. In the first I didn't notice the thin green stripe. The green tie and flashes really brought it out.
A lovely Tartan, very well presented.

Splendid, Hamish, looks good with both the casual and the formal accompaniments.

I am reticent to wear a white shirt for informal occasions for the same reasons. However, I think a Carolina blue shirt (check the UNC web site) would be smashing. It looks like it would match that tartan perfectly. If not, based on the pic, I would think that an oatmeal shirt and hose would match well with the tartan where the black and white cross. It is a minor color, but very apparent.
As you know, Rob, I am the greatest advocate of 'oatmeal' for shirts and hose and I claim that as a colour it goes with virtually any tartan - not this one though! Where the black and white cross in the Breton tartan, you have grey - oatmeal is too 'warm' and brownish when put alongside this one! The tartan's blue and green are unusual in that they are far from the common shades of those colours. No, I'll just have to wear this fab. kilt when I next go near a man's shop and see what I can find - It's not going to be easy though.
I am happy with a white polo shirt for these warm/hot summer months - but maybe I'll have to go into black for the Autumn, Winter and Spring!!!

Oh, that's my personal photographer,Andy. He goes by the unusual, but artistic, name of Tripod Self-Timer. My one great problem with him is that he refuses to work in public places as he is extremely shy and hates being watched whilst at work
[Also, I asked you a question in another thread "new corduroy kilt", but I think you must have missed it . . . about getting kilts from USA to UK and tariffs etc.]
Yes, I must have - sorry! I don't have time to read all threads at this time of year. I will go look for it later this evening.

Very nice tartan!!
I especially like the jacket combination in the second picture. On my monitor, however, the tie looks more teal than green and doesn't quite work for me.
I think in terms of other shirt / hose combinations, I think you may have instinctively chosen that in the photo setting . . . perhaps the darker reds in the flowers, or burgundy, or the terra cotta or brick colors?

Yes, that's it, Bradley, "Brittany Walking" or "Randonnée Bretonne". It is scheduled for delivery around 14th July but, since the "Breton National arrived a week earlier than scheduled, I am hoping I''l get that second kilt a week early also! I agree, it IS a beautiful tartan: basically browns, muted red, beige and thin stripes of yellow and blue - earthy and, as you say, "warm".
