    David,

Well done. In the first picture the jacket seems too small for you. Kilt jackets always seem to fit a bit tighter so the modifications make it look great on you.

You and your good wife did an excellent job.

    Cheers

Excellent job, David! And the neutral jacket will go with almost any colors…

The jacket looks far better than many purpose-made kilt jackets, and the silvery grey looks very distinguished with your colouring. Did the the original sports jacket have any vents?

Those alterations were done very well and it looks good. Yeah, maybe it's a tad small.

My only observation is that the pockets look a little low, but I know you couldn't do anything about that.

I have seen a number of jacket conversions on this site and elsewhere, and this is by far the best one I have seen. It looks like you blew a fortune on a real kilt jacket. Great Job David. I wish my first attempt had looked that great

You're going to have to do away with it. Just send it over to me and I'll properly dispose of it!

No, but really. WOW! looks great! Once I get a bit of confidence on a sewing machine I'd like to make a go at converting one.
The Jacket was all hand sewn by my wife, as it is made out of a silk material it would have pulled if machine sewn
