Just received my SWK 34" Weathered Lamont heavyweight in today's mail. Screamin' good deal, and I like that kilt!

Coincidentally, and oh so Christmas-like, I received my Heritage Hose from Freedom kilts today as well.

    WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out Auld Argonian's post on this. He has at least 1 SWK (nightstalker) and has no problem. Now, AA and I have met for a few events, and he is about (jump in John) 5' 7" - 5' 9". I am a solid 6' 3". AA wears his higher at a more traditional height. I wear more lower and closer to (but not directly on) the hips. So you can get wear one with no problem. I'll tell you what, get the Saffron (it will go well with the new brown belt!), and I will get the solid green one, and we will both post pics to show the comparison of the same length kilt on different height gents. And maybe I can get AA to post a similar pic!

    And maybe...

Hey AA, need a new kilt? Got a solid black one yet? That would round us out and we could show an SWK on 3 gents of different heights. Might help others to have a better feel for the SWK length.

Maybe Jerry would give us a discount for being models!
I begin to reconsider the SWK Saffron . . .

    Unhappy a sale?!

oh shoot! SWK has a sale and I have no money to spare! and to add insult to injury, US$122 = AUS$160.... and $160 for a heavyweight wool kilt is a bargain in anyone's language!

I could just about cry into my beer (or would do if I had a beer to cry into! )

    *sigh*

FWIW big people, I'm only 5'6'' and my kilt is 24'' long. It fits just above or on the knee and although I'm not wearing it just now, I'm sure it's only max. 2" above my navel. The size on the label is for an even more diminutive soldier than me, IIRC something like 5'2'' - 5'4''.

    I'd get a 24'' again.

I'm glad I found this thread 2 days into the sale. SWK Sale kilts in my size are no longer available, so you lads have saved me some expense. Thank you!
