    lucky at craps

Well, the craps table at the Grand Casino in Tunica (Mississippi) just put me well within reach of my next kilt. It's got to be this tartan. Now, the decision; do I go for the Strome, or the 13 oz. Yes, I live in Georgia and the 16 would be a bit warm for summers. But from about now until April it should be quite wearable. Any of you southern kilties have a 16 oz.? If so, how much do you wear it as opposed to your others? How long is it's "season" really.

Phil say his is a 16, but then he's in Northern Idaho. How warm is a 13 oz in a midewestern winter? OK, so I've only been wearing since August and need to know these things.

    Thanks

Turpin...maybe ask Ron/Riverkilt...he has several 16ozers and he lives in Arizona.

We had a hot summer with 30-35 degrees celsius (my 1st kilted summer) and my experience is...it makes no...or very little...difference if you wear 13 or 16 oz. Both pretty comfortable when you just walk around a bit.

When you have several kilts...at least 1 16oz 8 yards kilt would be really nice...the look, the weight, the feel and the swing...magic! pure magic!

    You won't be disappointed...that's a promise

    For Hamish on golf

    Hamish:

I believe it was Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) who called golf "a good walk, spoiled." Further, he's reputed to have said of golf that it involved chasing a gutta-percha ball around a pasture with an instrument singularly unsuited to the purpose.

Then again, any chance to be outdoor in a kilt . . . well that can't be a bad thing!

Also a great shot and a fantastic looking kilt.
