Surprised no one mentioned it yet:

Green Stewart. It is green and red (with majority green). Basically, it is Royal Stewart on a green base.

I agree, Royal Stewart is the "de facto" Christmas Tartan, as it is visible EVERYWHERE (though it does not have enough green for me).

As for me, I like the Caledonia (I am making a box pleat RIGHT NOW out of this tartan -in modern 13 oz worsted wool), as it useable the rest of the year without looking like a "run away Christman ornament." Also, I am pleating it to the red stripe on the blue (practically a navy in my material) part, thus making it primarly red and blue from the back with traces of black, green, yellow and white.

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet. But, the Lennox District tartan. Mainly red and green with a double white stripe going through the tartan.

I only got my Irish American tartan kilt immediately before St. Patrick's Day this year, but I think that'd make a great
holiday tartan if you wore it with red shirt/hose... I'll have to try it before I confirm that but it seems like a good
combo right now, just thinking about it. I already have the green flashes to go with that kilt so that's a plus.

    Here's the tartan, though:

    Another vote for Ulster Red:

And you can get a cheap one here (under "Special Order Economy Kilts"):

A rarely seen and fairly new tartan is from the Clan Little. It would make a nice Christmas tartan.

Website where tartan can be seen is here

    Cheers!

Fraser Red is a good one for me. Rocky has it and it's red with blue, green and white stripes.

I still put my vote in for Robertson Red.

    Here's why:

    1 Its mostly red
2 it has green and blue
    3 it's not Royal Stewart
    4 it's available in everything
    5 looks great in pics
6 it's my true love's clan (a personal thing for me)
    and finally
    7 It rocks!!!!

Any tartan with red in it would work.
