Number of tassels on a sporran

I didn't know that there were any required number of tassles. It seems to me that only military sporrans would be required to be "uniform" and that a man could customize his sporran to suit his preferences and not let conventional "wisdom" decide how he would dress.

I don't mind the look of the 5 tassles. It is a bit showy... but then mybe that's the point. Somebody will buy it.
