We do seem to have a large number of kilters in MD. Why is that so you suppose?

The Port of Baltimore (300 yrs old this year) was a point of debarkation (?) for immigrants from Europe. Along with Philadelphia. When they landed, some traveled west into Pa. and then down into Maryland. Lots of Germans and Irish surnames in the history around the Mason Dixon line. My wife and I have been researching my parents families for the last 15 years. Mostly in Carroll County Md, but now headed for Philly. So , wear your kilt proudly in the Free State. My wife has a brother in Berlin. Next time I come over to the shore, I'll bring the kilt.
