I would be 9/10 or 10/10, if I actually bought kilt-related items more than once or twice a year. But, since I don't, the addiction is mild. My KAS (Kilt Acquisition Syndrome) pales in comparison to my NAS (Nikon (film photo equipment) Acquisition Syndrome). In fact, for a while, there was no comparison.

I thought I wasn't addicted, but wearin a kilt every day doubled my score.

I am sorry, but if Hamish only rates a nine, there is no such thing as a 10! By the way, Hamish, I think it would be wonderful if one day you posted pictures of your closet, or whatever sanctum it is in which you keep your wardrobe, so we your admirers can stand in awe of the kiltitude.
Best regards,
Jake

I wonder if there is some sort of 12 step program for this type of thing??

Exactly! How many heroin addicts make their own? How many alcoholics brew/distill/ferment their own? The addiction is in how much it controls your life. I score 7-8/10, but feel like a raging kiltoholic.
So far I'm controlling it with DIY projects, but the credit card keeps whispering "uuuuuse me, uuuuuuse me". When I run I find a mile has passed all unawares because I'm thinking about some aspect of kilting. I blow past my exit on the highway. The yard needs work but so do my jacket conversons. I've got it baaaaad!

Just moderate but I feel like I should be 2 or 3 steps higher
