    DALE.
I'm working on it. He said he liked how it felt (who doesn't?!?!) but isn't sure about taking "the plunge". I referred him to SportKilt.

Very professional looking. All of those were nice portraits. You really have an eye for it.

    Beloitpiper:

You definitely have an eye for composition; I can't nitpick the quality of the shots (I'm no pro) so I'll second dirkskene's words: They're all nice portraits.

    Well done; keep 'em coming.

Very nice composition and contrast. Lighting is excellent, though a wee bit stron in one. You definitely captured the "oil on canvas over the fireplace" vibe.

    Good on ya.

For this shoot, I used a Hasselblad 501c with a 80mm Planar 2.8 Zeiss lens, 35mm mask for 4x6 prints on 100 ISO Ilford Delta film, and all natural lighting with a reflector screen (to fill in shadowy areas).

I have yet to scan in the negatives and play with them on Photoshop, but I'm pretty pleased with the raw results.

With the depth of color and shadow and highlight tones, there is no need to photoshop any of this. As I stated earlier, these are really well done. The eye is there, but just watch the edges of the frame.... You cut off feet and fingers. While the pros do this occasionally, it is with a purpose. Here it simply looks like an accident.
