I answered traditionally, but I also wear my casual kilts on the waist like they are made for. The full 8 yard trad. goes up higher as it should.

8 yards of 16 oz Dress Gordon up nice and high! I like the looks of the moderns, but will most likely stick with traditionals.

I wear all wool and just above the navel the way God intended. Ha.

I find it is not only very comfortable, but kind of supports the aging back and paunchy middle (which is slowly disappearing).

My UKs are worn at jeans level.

My SWK is worn at the navel.

My tank is worn 2 inches above the navel.

So I'm pretty much all over the map

Plumbers crack happens because the inseam pulls the pants down when squatting. This does not happen with a kilt - even a low rise kilt.

I like the low rise myself. I find it more comfortable.

I like kilts both ways. I like high rise for 8 yrd traditional but prefer to wear an 8yrd or 5 yrd where I wear my jeans for casual everyday. I find long periods in high rise trads. confining after a while. I like the freedom of movement and less material up my body in summer and casual settings.
