I like the tucked in look, IT show off the belt and sporran.
I did not give a lot of thought in the tucking - I mainly did it to make the kilt fit a little better. I ordered a 42, but would have been more than fine with a 40 and the sweater just made it seem to fit better when tucked in. I seem to remember that the Royal Scots wear the Hunting Stewart and it just seemed appropriate to combine that tartan with a military sweater.

I have to admit that I too like the look of the sweater and the tuck, and have went and bought a Grey and a Black 'commando' style to match my other kilts for the winter. They are great for outdoors, etc., but do get a bit uncomfortable when indoors for an extended period of time.

I'd say 'fabulous' but it would be better suited to tell a man it's 'handsome', right?

I tuck everything into a kilt, tshirt, dress shirt, sweater, it doesn't matter to me I just like the way the kilt looks, so I want to see/show it all.

I am glad that your hunting came to a great find that Hunting Stewart is a great looking tartan.
