Northern Detroit kilt night. Who's up for it?

Got an email out to Dragonmead and have tried to get ahold of a manager at the full kilt to no avail. I'll call Dragonmead and see what the delay is.

How's about we set it for April 7 barring any major issues with the pub(s)?

If you get me in contact with the piper I'll bring my snare drum along. It'd be nice to know what tunes he knows ahead of time though.

I'll see if I hear from them this weekend, if not, I'll call on Monday. Kilts and pipes fit the atmosphere of Dragonmead perfectly, I'm sure they'll be ok with it. If not, we don't have a piper, but we still gather for a kilt night.

The email was sent directly to the owners. I gave them the address for Xmarks, explained a bit about us and what a kilt night was and that we'd like their permission to possibly bring along a piper. I also expounded on the great times I've had at their pub and how much I love their beer. I've actually got a few bottles in my fridge right now.

We'll see.

Well I just stopped by Dragon Mead on my way home from work. I hope you don't mind, Rikk.

I talked to a nice lady named Chris.. She said it would be no problem to have our fine group there on the 7th.

Saturday's are a "no reservation" day. It's first come first serve.

They also do not allow you to push tables together either.. (I don't see a problem; it's a cozy place)

They don't have any other entertainment for that evening (the 7th) so a Piper and Drummer would be welcome!!

I say the 7th it is!!

Very cozy, I can see the West corner of the bar right by the window being a perfect spot. At the bar, so close to the service and plenty of room.

Been trying to find a site for them and couldn't get anything but a chamber of commerce listing. They must have just got it up and running.

Getting a bit excited about this. Hopefully it's warmer than Chicago was this past weekend.
