Hamish,
Funny you should mention casual, that is my preferred choice. I have some friends in Hove, is that far from you?

Oh, well done Tim! I'd hate to think of you having only the 'formal look' available to you. To my eyes, unless the occasion is a wedding or something very similar, the sight of a PC being worn in broad daylight is wrong, very wrong! It's nothing to do with rules, well maybe it is just a bit, but for some reason or another it just does not look right! I do formal. I do casual, and I do everything in between - but I only do what is appropriate to the event (if there is one) or the time of day. It is good to have you here.
Hove? Hove actually? I too have friends there and, yes, it is quite close - well, about 20 minutes drive. Hove seafront is where I invariably park when I need to go into Brighton. Finding a space in Brighton is almost impossible, and if I do it is expensive, so I leave the car in Hove and walk a couple of miles along the promenade into the city. Are your friends kilties too? Maybe I should get to meet them if so.

Yes Hamish, Hove actually, I just love the way that is said. I travelled around there quite a bit and love the countryside especially the town called Fulking, which can be ronounced in many silly ways. The Shepard and Dog Fulking sign put me in stitches.
My firends in Hove are not kilties, but there brother here is. Maybe the next time I make it over we can meet up.

Tim, the world grows smaller! The 'Shepherd and Dog' pub at Fulking (a hamlet or village, by the way, not a town!) is one of my favourites in the area, and is one to which I often take visitors. Here's a photo of two friends and myself inside that pub, five years ago - I am on the right!!

Agreed: one has to take great care when saying the name Fulking (it is correctly pronounced 'Full-king')!
Yes, do let me know next time you are over here. It would be good to meet you.

This is the SWK black Stewart I wore last week to an Oscar's party. The crowd went wild!!! I was disappointed nobody in Hollywood showed up in Kilt.
Well, for once, regular folks are ahead of the fashion curve. The fashion industry and its followers are probably trying to ignore the fact that they are now the tail of the dog.
Both kilts look great, and your total look is fantastic!
Is the Irish American tartan pleated to the strip or to the sett? It's a strikingly beautiful tartan. I too have an SWK Black Stewart. Love it!

Thanks Rigged, I love the Irish American too and it is pleated to the sett. I am currently wearing my SWK Black Stewart and heading out the door to convert some more people. Take care and good to meet you.
