Great like I don't have enough questions about how to pleat it now. Never thought about diagonal.

To the diagonal? That makes my head hurt, trying to visualize it.

If it's any consolation, Adam, the work and extra material needed to make a kilt on the diagonal would send the cost of a PV up into the neighborhood of a wool tank, and the cost of a wool tank up into the neighborhood of a good used car. (Even if Rocky was willing to take such a PITA idea on.) That might help you make up your mind about the diagonal idea. I might attempt it if I can get about 25 yards of PV tartan for insanely cheap at some point, but I'd never saddle someone else with the beast.

What? You have never heard of setting on the Diagonal? A most ancient method of kilt making? It is used by those that live on the slopes of the Bens! This was done to make the setts appear straight when you look at them. They were also only box pleated and no aprons! That way no matter which way they are facing they can just spin the kilt and the stipes appear correct for their direction of travel, uphill or down. Of course it started to die out when the shepards started to evolve one shorter leg and permanent "slope lean" to compensate for the constant one way travel on the slopes. Apparently when they went to towns it caused wide spread panic among the citizens and made for great fortunes to be made by early optometrists!

Hey I thought it sounded good!
Sorry the product of a bent mind that has not had morning coffee yet!
