Welcome from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Just curious about all the tats on your arm. What are they of. Any reason for any thing in particular. Are you originally from Scotland?

    DALE.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

    Arlen,
Welcome from SW Florida, I visited your fair city back in October. Even bought my first kilt there. Had a great time while there and will return someday.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I'll likely be moving to Idaho where most of my Fiance's family is from, but there is a chance of moving back to Oregon where she and I stayed for a while when she was in college or to Prescott in Arizona for her master's degree.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I'm really glad you enjoyed Glasgow. Where did you get your kilt from?
    Visit any good places?

It was an off the peg from one of the gift stores, I could take you there but for the life of me can't recall the name of the store. It was on the mall a block or two down from the train station. A blackshadow tartan with two thin green and purple stripes. I got to see lots in town even took in the Celtic Legends football match with Liverpool. Took a day trip to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs including Stirling Castle, and back to Edinburgh as I wanted to take in Holyrood house back in may but it was closed due to a member of the Royal family being in residence. Naturally went to most of the Museums. The bus system really allows one to see Glasgow.

I think I know the exact kilt shop you mean. It's a pretty good place. I actually got a nice pair of brown brogues from there recently.
Sounds like a really nice kilt, too.

I'm glad you got to see a lot in Glasgow and that you enjoyed it. it's a good place to be.

    Hello there!
They're actually three Pictish symbols and a simple triskelion.
The Pictish symbols are a Boar, a Deer and a Fish. I'm an avid fly-sisher and I don't eat meat unless I have raised or hunted it myself or can ensure that someone else has done so with the greatest care and respect for the animal.
My family are originally from the far North of Scotland for as far back as we can trace, and it's very likely we have a good bit of Pict in us, so I've always been fascinated with their history and art.
The tattoos were kind of a visual confirmation for me of my values, heritage and the triskelion was a nice finish to my beliefs in things being a circle.

I am originally from Scotland and met my fiance while she was studying here on a scholarship. I love Scotland, but it seems like America would be the best place for us to settle.
I still plan to visit every year, though. It'll never stop being my home.

Here's an idea of how the tattoos look.

Thanks for the welcome, and apologies for the very, very late reply on that tattoo thread of yours.
