    They are of very heavy pewter and were designed in France - but superbly made in Scotland by Pewtermill Crafts Ltd. I do not know if Richard du Clos ('La Maison du Kilt' à Paris) had a hand in the design, but it would not surprise me if he had!

    Aye Andrew. That one had crossed my mind. I have not worn it yet as I need to get hold of a suitable day belt for it. The plate fits my Dress belt but I cannot wear that casually!! All my day belts have pronged buckle fittings and so are unsuited to the plate.
