Unknown Uniform

I think he's depicting an officer of the old 92nd Regiment (Gordon Highlanders) from the early 1800's. Here is a picture of what they looked like.

As you can see they had a white hackle in their bonnets, whereas the Black Watch had a red one, and if you look closely at his kilt you can just detect a light (yellow?)stripe.

Yeah, they're similar, but I think he took some liberties with the uniform.

May be with re-enactment unit or a pipe band. If you set the contrast and brightness on the picture to 75% and enlarge it you can see he is wearing a dirk, the garters look like they are tied, and the kilt looks like it has a white stripes and some red in it, in addition to the green and black.

I see this has already been resolved. On the beard issue, I've just put a pic in my thread in Kilt Pics of 2RCR and the one soldier is bearded. 2RCR are soldiers first, only two are hired civilians (the two main people, I forget their titles).
