My first was a Buzz Kidder canvas I purchased at the Tucson Highland Games. That was followed a couple of years later by a SportKilt in US Navy Tartan.

My first was a tank from Highland Heritage of Newark, DE... Dunno where they are these days, but it's not Newark.

Was a brown variant of the Scott tartan.

My first was a 8yard 16oz. handsewn in Modern Lamont. It was from a little shop in New York City that I can't remember the name for the life of me...I used to have a card but can't find it...they'ed fit you there then have it made in Scotland it took a while to get.... but what a "Great Kilt"( no pun intended) it is! That was 10 or 11 years ago and its stiil in great shape after many years of pub crawling and debauchery...maybe thats why I can't remember the name of the place!!!!

    Cheers,

    Mike

My first kilt, like Panache, was a Utilikilt mocker, which was purchased as part of a halloween costume. I wore it on and off, without the costume several times, and decided I liked it. Since then I've gotten 4 more UKs (2 of which I won't wear outside) and 3 traditional styled ones. The traditional ones have, for most activities, become my preference.

Black UK Original which I received almost exactly one year ago. If it wasn't for this bunch of enablers I probably would have stopped there, but Noooo, you guys had to encourage me to wear it whenever I felt like it. But how could I do that with just one kilt?? One year and six additional kilts later the disease show no signs of going into remission . . . .

    Best regards,

    Jake
