Great news as I'm headed for Portland for my daughter's wedding the end of August. She want me to wear a kilt in the wedding—brilliant young women, my daughter.

"The old hometown looks the same, as I step down from the train, and there to meet me is my mamma and papa. Down the road I look and there runs Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries, oh its good to touch the green green grass of home."

Thanks for a little nostalgia from the wetlands I left behind in 1966.

Good to see the water in the Willamette is blue now...I remember it as brown, but not thick enough to walk on. And steelhead in Johnson Creek....

Looks like a fun weekend. Thanks for the photos. Was that security man checking if you were "regimental"?

I used to participate in a fantasy LARP here in the Mid-Atlantic called Darkon. I played the part of the pirate Alex. I was a thief...er, that is... a fighter. Yeah, that's it, a fighter. I just did my best fighting from behind.

Wait a cotton pickin' minute! You are having way too much fun. Besides that, those are fantastic shots.

    Nice piccies!
Is that the McLeod tartan? Red hose with it is colourfully daring!
I love the 're-enactment' jacket you wear. I wish all men wore gay clothing like that today.
The airport 'wanding' brought back bad memories of US airports. It's no fun after 20 hours in the air and no sleep.

I have a church camp coming up later this year in Portland (Australia).
    thanks for sharing the images.

It really looks like you guys had a great time.
It has been many, many years since I done any Larp, but you guys made it look great.
And well done on managing to make it to the beer festival TWICE.
I drank a lot of Kilt-lifter and full boar while i was in Oregon.
There was also a local brewery that made beer with laughing gas in it rather then carbonating it.
