    But I always had a different take on the phrase “Beer Goggle Effect”

    I thought it meant, - - - well let me relate a story:

    Two Jarheads (Doggies, Flyboys, Swabbies, Bums, Tramps –your choice) stumble into a bar. The first Jarhead says to the second – “How much do you want to drink?”

    The second responds – “ Well, let’s drink until (pauses, looks around room, spots ugly female, point to her) until she looks good!”

    That’s what I thought the “Beer Goggle Effect” was…… learn stuff every day!

    That is precisely what the beer goggles effect is! The formula is merely a means to mathematically determine within a reasonable amount of accuracy the extent of the effect.
