That's a really nice looking sporran you have there. All the more so because you made it yourself.

That looks very good. I didn't mind the pointy part because you had said it was unfinished. I was seeing some chrome there. Tandy might a belt end that works or moulding that well set it off. Something subtle, I think too many sporrans are over done.

Very well done, BB. You'll love the room you get in the Rob Roy style sporran. And if you decide you want a different flap, I see that you've made it so you can do that. Well done.

Thanks for all the opinions and encouragement. It performed admirably at the St. Louis games. If you want to see me wearing it check out Cajunscots thread in the "show us your pics" area. Unfortunately I left many of my leather working tools in St. Louis at my brothers house after putting the finishing touches on his belt. As soon as I get my tools I will put the finishing touches on it and post more pictures and such. I picked up a beautiful MacLeod crest pin that I plan to use as sort of a button to fasten and I need to get some more leather as well!

So Now Its Done. . . . Maybe

I have been intending to put some finishing touches on this sporran for sometime now but never got to it. Todd informed me that the Stag Burns Supper was going to be a daywear event so that was the kick in the pants I needed to revitalize the old thing. Here is it in -crosses fingers- its final incarnation.

wont let me edit my last post. . . .

    flap open

    an inside shot

Just for kicks the sporran strap that I whipped together for it.

Well there it is. What do ya think gents and lassies? I think it kinda looks like the %#$*#$ offspring of a freelander and a traditional sporran.
