OK, I just received my kilt from the UK and don't really feel like sending it back, especially since the size difference is within the tolerances.

Could I just take this to my local dry cleaner and have her move the straps?

It depends on the kilt. Is this a custom hand made kilt? If so then I would recommend sending to a kiltmaker.

If the belts are sewn on with a machine, then someone with a sewing machine could do it.

Yes, it is a custom hand made kilt. I think Rocky Roeger would be more than happy to oblige in this matter as he is the closest kiltmaker to me (Rocky didn't make the Kilt).

Talked to Rocky at USA Kilts

I talked to Rocky at USA kilts and he said I could take it to a tailor or dry cleaner since it is only a question of moving the straps.
