Very nice. It's a time consuming project but it's so worth it when it's done!!

    Hey ChattanCat,
that kilt looks great. May I enquire as to your sewing experience prior to attempting your first kilt?

I have not had any sewing experience before kilting. What drew me to kilting was the engineering that was involved in making a kilt. I am an Engineer and it is a very interesting process that requires math. Ok, not rocket science, but it keeps me interested. Every kilt is different. (Of course, cost was an issue.) I bought my first budget kilt and it fit like a wiskey barrel. I am a little taller than average and needed a drop that was not off the shelf.

I am excited to be kilting!

Ok, cool. The kilts look nice and it's nice to hear that kilt-making is an achievable dream. As long as there are no derivatives, I think I can handle the math...
I hear you on the cost aspect of kilting; my love (obsession?) of kilts is definitely much larger than my wallet.
