That shirt does look sharp. I am anxious to see what it looks like on you.

The combination is just eye-popping! Especially for such neutral colors.

Craig,
I'm glad the timing of the packages was so good. Could you tell I planned it that way?
It looks really good on you.
To those who have asked about the shirt length - I have found that having the hem even 3-4 inches longer than the hem of the kilt is perfect. As soon as you put the kilt on and pull out the waist of the shirt a little the hem rises till nothing shows under the kilt. I make my own shirts to hit at the bottom of my knees. As soon as I put the kilt on the hem rises till it is three to four inches above the hem of the kilt.
The whole reason for the long shirt was to help keep an expensive kilt clean, add and extra layer of insulation against both heat and cold, and act like a slip to allow the pleats to fall back into position when you stand up.
So far, those who have worn the kilt shirt say it does these things perfectly. A kind of out of the box thinking.
Craig, You will have to give us a full review after you have had a few days to wear the shirt and kilt, both together and separate.
Again, it looks great on you and I hope you get many years of use from them.

MY OH MY OH MY!!!! Craig that is fantstic! As soon as the pic of both items came on my screen, ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" was running around my brain. You will HAVE to come up again next year so we can go to the Irish Times and you can place another order.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

That's a tempting suggestion there, Big Mikey!
And yes, Mr.Bill, the slouched hose are khaki, to go with the kilt; nothing wrong with your monitor. I chose these neutral colors, one, because I've found they go well with my coloring, but they also are well-suited for the desert climate I live in.
I was a little concerned about the length of the shirt when I first put it on, but like Steve explained (& quite well, too), once you put on the kilt & pull up on the shirt a bit so you can move freely, it raises the bottom of the shirt several inches. The bottom of the shirt doesn't show at all.
Thanks again, Steve! I'll make a point of posting a more detailed review once I've had the chance to wear the kilt & shirt a time or two.
