if you have nero burning on your PC you can use that to take a sample out of a cd you have.

the nero program is called nero wave editor



it takes a wee bit of practice to use it, but it's good, then you need to upload it to your phone

I have an old cell phone. Really old. It actually uses a hand crank. It's really just one step above messenger pigeons. As such, all the ring tones sound like they are coming from a gameboy and only a few are actually recognizable as anything other than a form of mild torture.

Just another good reason to keep my phone on silent.

Well I want bagpipe music as my ringer. I googled ring tones and my phone model and eventually found a program that allowed me to put it on my phone. I picked Scotland the Brave, just cause it is one of the more recognizable pipe songs around.

Another vote for phonezoo. So far I've gotten two tunes, and am waiting for a third (apparently it takes a little while to message the tunes over Verizon).
