I sure will miss the MCC site, as it was right across the street from my mom's apartment and I would combine a quick visit with a walk across the street to the event!

B, BABY!!!!!!!!
I don't know if I/we will be going or not, yet. You Know Who also wants to spend money he shouldn't at the You Know What at the fairgrounds or wherever it is this time around ::::argh::::
Me, well, I am loosing my MIND and not getting anything resembling sleep because of a TON of last-minute, 11th-hour, scholarship applications and the 5,3467 million supporting documents and pieces of info they require - and dang if it seems they are all DUE AT ONCE. Yes, I am just overjoyed about my kid starting ASU both this summer and in the fall. Yes, I am. Overjoyed. Absolutely. Uhhuh. Yep. Haven't had this much fun since I had to prepare completely for a trial on an overnight basis. Yup. Not since then. No. I am NOT having any fun at all......nope......... nope..........
Sumbody please just shoot me now........ he can pay for college with my life insurance proceeds instead........

Okay, looks like I may be able to get over the mountain in Flagstaff if the snow stays warm and light. So headed down for the games, maybe the Coldstream thingie.
Gonna wear my kilt police magnet Macdonald Lord of the Isles kilt...probably my tan Filson vest to stuff vendor plunder into.

Hiya Mel! So did you & Scratchy make it to the games or did Scratchy end up at that 'other' event? I went with Riverkilt on Saturday and had a very enjoyable day, despite still being a bit on the "bronchial" side! I met several XMarkers and even a couple of folks who I knew in the SCA! One of these days I'll get to meet you and/or Scratchy in person!
It's always fun to people watch at those events, as well as kilt watch! I spotted a guy with the basting stitches still in his pleats and thought of Ayin and his "kilt snobbery", which made me chuckle to myself! Riverkilt then pointed out the same guy to me and I said, "Yeah I saw him standing in the food vendor line that I was just in."
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the college finances will work out in your son's favor! How's your pop holding up?
B. :hugs:

I think everyone's planning to meet at the alcohol tent after the opening ceremony. I'm not sure what we do if there's more than one alcohol tent. Gates open at ten, opening ceremony is at noon.

Hey Lady,
Whatcha doin' here??? Welcome.
And agree on the booze...jeez, I gotta either be a designated driver or a designated drunk. And don't think we could really have a "transient toss" been my experience in detox that they're much too slippery to get a good grip on....least I was...
