LOL! LOL! LOL! Nighthawk, LOL!
But for real That three day weed pulling celebration is in February after the winter rains.
Tommie, on the mini-kilts... come down in the spring and summer. Maybe not to Phoenix, but next door in Tempe, ASU. Kind of about when Nighthawk will be weeding down here...

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Hey Red!
I was at a Panda Express before going to a rehersal and I spotted one of Utilikilts 'sport kilts'. Also at our celebration at Fibbers on NYE I meet a Scot in his kilt, he was glad to find out he wasn't the only one Kilted that night. Sorry I had too many pints to remember his name (I wasn't driving that night)
In one ensemble we're playing Malcom Arnold's "Four Scottish Dances" I'm thinking of showing up to a rehersal in my SWK.

By the way, Nighthawk, are you going to be... inflicting that wedding, or are you just observing? I haven't followed the details too closely. Good luck either way, and I hope you enjoy your visit.

THAT day...back when...in Phoenix...wearing pants, shirt, tie...123 degrees F. Asphalt melted underfoot....
Summer is the time to market kilts in Phoenix...
There must be some common sense left in even the most smog addled brains down there....
Wearing pants is like tossing a blanket over your air conditioner.

OK- no, I will NOT be inflicting the wedding this time around- only attending. The Rev Nutjob is just an observer.
And folks, I will be in town on the morning of the 11th. I would LOVE to get together with the whole lot of you.

I remember that, everyone's... house air conditioners were shutting down to, and I think they even stopped flights out of Sky Harber for a while.
You're right Ron,, the kilts are better than pants out here in the summer. I would say no way to formal though. You got to lose the hose. I would even say go USAK PV, with sandals or a BK solid with sandals and the Hawaiian shirt look. Gees, I remember that first time I put on a kilt with the whole get up in summer... it's just too much clothing to stand with the formal.
Keep in mind I'm blind, so probably don't know if that looks good or not, LOL!
