I agree, great answer; but to a question that should not be asked.
I could'nt agree more.Women should show us the same respect we show them by not asking what kind of underwear they wear under thier skirts.
Try asking a lady that an see what she says.
An Keith:as for a woman running up behind you an raising up your kilt-Try doing that to a woman in public an see what happens.
You'd probibly get arrested.
I think we should be shown the same respect when wearing a kilt as women demand when wearing a skirt.

I was picking up a slice of pizza around the corner from my house when a young thing in her early 20's asked me the question. I said, "I wouldn't ask you what you're wearing under your jeans."
She replied without a pause, "a thong." So I told her and she kind of freaked out.

My wife isn't shy about what I wear - she normally just blirts it out when somebody shows the interest. Hasn't happened in a while though - I guess I need to run in some new circles?

Being new to all this, I assume that "regimental" is more a choice/circumstance-thing, than a "strictly expected tradition"............... verify, please???

Who said anything about bothering to chat them up? Getting complimented by anyone (just about) is great for the old confidence. You don't have to be interested; they can be 20 years younger, 10 years younger, much older, a compliment is a compliment, is a compliment!
As for game; I think my game involves having no game. It's very Buddhist like that

Pretty much, at least from my point of view. Someone going to a school, church, synagogue, mosque, climbing a ladder etc, may want to think through the idea of going regimental
P.S. Welcome from Williamsburg/Richmond!

I have been trying to think of handy lines to use... but so far Yeti hasn't worn the kilt with me around since before we were dating. My favorite would be... "that is for me to know, and for you to wonder about."

To me it's a comfort thing - If you know how to wear your clothing, there should never be any exposure unless you are some sort of movie star type or heress.
