@Mael Coluim: I must have seen your Clan group march past, it was a nice day and a good showing I thought, but this was my first. A cold one, but really my bigger problem was keeping the hands warm! Anyway, if I'm around to attend next year, I'll shoot you a PM to meet you.
@McMurdo: I was eyeing the Freelanders and Thorfinns yesterday, as a matter of fact. I think the Snap-Flap top on the Thorfinns do add a bit of functionality and low-cost alteration that intrigue me. I'd like to see one in person at some point. I have to say, though, that they're both really nice. My wife has also offered to make me a sporran if I can find a good pattern for her, so that's also an option. I suspect I will end up with more than one over time!
Thanks again for the welcome, folks! Much appreciated, you guys are a welcoming bunch.

Welcome from NH. So I have to ask, what part of New England? New Englanders are funny that way!

Welcome to this fine group of gentlemen and lovely lassies.
Nice kilt, nicer sporran. Great look you have there.

Welcome, welcome.
Actually, one of the few furs that I've considered for a sporran is a muskrat and that because they aren't so big...sometimes you see a picture of someone with a full critter sporran that just looks way too big and the effect seems kinda comical.
New England? What happened to Old England?
