    Hey Bro.
I searched around and found a site with the described badge. The same design was listed as Scottish rite and Masonic crest interchangeably. I'm not Scottish Rite but those friends of mine who are would never suffer the "lower case" R in Rite. Sounds like an uninformed copywriter. The badge is pretty straight-up Blue Lodge stuff. I'm unfamiliar with the oak leaves but that doesn't worry me too much. I'd say go ahead and wear it (in all 51 jurisdictions) and if some purist howls at you for a faux pas, use it as an excuse to go through Scottish Rite.

Hello to you, my Brother! I don't need an excuse to join the Scottish Rite, but I do need some extra time and money! My wife's grandfather was active in both the Scottish Rite and the Shrine, and my stepdaughter was fitted with orthopedic shoes when she was very young at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, so it has a history in my family that I intend to preserve.

KB1LEL, eh? I'm W8EBJ, a vanity call that first belonged to my maternal grand-uncle who, incidentally, was ALSO a Shriner!

Behold how good and pleasant it is for bretheren to dwell together in unity....

It is good to see y'all here. And I also use the square and compass's on my kilted attire. I would like to add some Scottish Rite to it as well. Currently I have the buckle and embroydered socks and masonic sporran. But its a start.

Also, as an ebayer (I know, I know)...they add things to the listing such as the Scottish Rite tag to get more hits on searches.

    Have a great day
