I like the X idea! I'm trying to remember so many years ago in school when I had to put together my plant specimen cataloge. We'd dry out the leaves in a drying press and then shellac them or something like that so they would be permanent. I'll try to work on that and let folks know if it works.

If the plant badge is a Dandelion do we have to fill our flasks with Dandelion wine? What will I do with the Gator Aide I now carry?
