    Question instead of Path station

Check this link out. It's in Chatham, NY, a couple hours north of the city. With an early start, it could be a daytrip...a long day, but sounds like lots of fun! I think we have enough cars if the Manhattan folks are willing to meet drivers outside the city...any interest?

? Path station < Path are limited to lower manhattan, with the most northern/uptown smack in the middle 34 street Herald Sqr MAJOR Crowd bad traffic, for a Car pool pick meet up spot ? I think most of the JERSEY Kilt Crowd would come into the city via Railroad/ <42 street >Lincoln Tunnel or Port Authority Bus

How about the choice between uptown 200 street and maybe 42 Street 8/9 th Avenues? This way people coming from the East side of manhattan can come straight cross town. Those coming from Queens (A/C/E/7) Brooklyn "A" , 2/3 trains can also easily reach 42 street-TIMES Sqr, and folks from Jersey regardless if driving or Bus Port Authority

The point of offering a New Jersey site (PATH train station) is to make it easier for the NJ drivers by not making them come into the city. (You can get to the Taconic without coming into Manhattan.)

It's real easy for drivers coming from the east (LI) to get to Northern Manhattan via the Tri-borough bridge or the FDR and the Harlem River Drive.

I'm still a bit up in the air about the day as well. It sounds like a good time though.

As for driving, I'm not sure. I'd probably have to see about borrowing a car for the trip unless I can get some work done on mine before hand.

    I'll keep you posted.

I would love to see more X-Markers at this event. I've attended for the past 3 years and look forward to it every spring. It sort of kicks off the Scottish games season for me. And, yes, there are many, many attendees wearing kilts. I also want to emphasize the fantastic music line up. Every year I've gone there has been a first class list of performers. I discovered Barley Juice a a few years ago at the festival.

Not quite sure whether it's just me or some, or all of the family yet.

One suggestion for the group as a whole, I checked with the company that I lease trucks from and they can supply a 15 passenger van for around $100. Depending on how many that could be pretty cheap. Just a thought.

Great idea! I'm wondering if we should plan an April meet-up at St. Andrew's or that great pub on 3rd Ave. we ended up at for St. Pat's dinner (Kevin, what's it's name?). Maybe April 19th or 20th to give us time to plan?

Can't make it on the 19th or 20th weekend I'll be in Florida, but I can be involved via email, text, mobile etc. if we do any planning.

It would probably help the organizers if people can start to commit for that day.

I'm still a "very possibly," though. It would help to see if a concrete plan does emerge.
