Well, I'll know what to expect from my next kilt made by Ms. Lare!

I've signed my qults and needlework for years. Will need to do this.....
Pigma brand micropoint pens work well too, and are archival, if you are worried about the chemicals in the computer inks.

Like any kiltmaker her lead time varies.
She is a full time kiltmaker, no other jobs to address, and she's not on line to answer emails other than every few days. Calling her is best. Check her out at www.kathyskilts.com
Time depends on who else decides to order...wedding orders...band orders...I like her not just from her craftsmanship learned at Keith Kilt School in Scotland, but because she is soooo good at scoring the tartans I want. The cloth for my 10th hand sewn kilt from her just came in she said. Not sure how long until its a kilt en route to me. But I don't really care. Its always worth the wait.
I tell her to take her time and do good work...which is unnecessary because she does anyway.
But to answer your question Lyrd, I don't keep track..somehow its an easier jones for me. I'd guess most of my kilts from Kathy have come in about a couple of months, that includes getting the fabric in from Scotland (she's in Albuquerque).
The order for this kilt was placed with Kathy on 2/25/08. She shipped it to me on 4/7/08...so that's only about six weeks...including her waiting for the material to come in to have something to work with.
But, you never know...
Email her, call her, she's a neat lady. Lots of guys on X Marks have her kilts.

After reading all the threads i would say my wish list would be a kilt from either Kathy or Barb. Both seem to have nothing but incredible reviews here. If i'm gonna get a tank i am gonna get the absolutely best i can. Going to check out that link for Kathy now, thanks.
Be Well

I vouch for what Ron says. I received my first kilt from Kathy a few weeks ago. I'm very pleased with her work, too.

Ronald is a chubby bum, ain't he? Almost as big as me! Poor clown...
