Ah, very smart looking, piper! I'm glad you wore the black-and-red diced hose with the BW. I have both, but have so far only worn those hose with my MacGregor kilt. But, now that I see that the BW kilt-BnW hose combo looks good, I'll copy you.

I pipe several funerals there annually. It's the only cemetery I take my time leaving when the job's over.
Slainte yall,

My grandparents and uncle, who died in an air battle during WWII, are buried there.

Doublet
I ordered the Doublet from Ian at Glenngary hats.com.
I even had the chance to speak with him on the phone to make sure that the measurements were just right.
I ordered it in Navy blue with gold trim and silver cording. The cuffs and collar as well as the epulets will be black ,and the buttons will be gold. Not a sharp contrast yet it will be striking.
Now i need a full pipers plaid BW and feather bonnet.and it will be complete.
Let me know your grandfathers name and I will find his site and send some photos.

Looking very, very sharp, there!
The Military box pleat is just beautiful. I wore mine for days after I first got it. Aren't they just so comfortable?
I'm impressed with your embroidery.
