What a series of war-hearted welcomes! AND it looks like I could be related to many of you too! 
Sorry for not getting back sooner, but I've been busy running dad's taxi and then had a school meeting for our youngest this evening.
I'll reply to those with a particular point tomorrow. I'm off for an early night. One bit of good news, though, is that my order for a blade for the sgian dubh I'm making is on it's way. I have a deer antler to cut for the handle - I found it on a hillside when I was on the isle of Jura off the Scottish west coast a year or two back.
