Looking good nice photos of you both thanks.
I wonder if the apron would soften up a bit if the kilt were washed?

Nice looking couple. The apron issue is true on most thriftys I have large hips, and found that a little sewing on the thrifty solved most of the problems. For the under the front apron pleat, I stitched the inside fold down for four inches with the top inch sewn to the apron. I wear the thrifty at my kilt waist, so wound up sewing the fell for about six inches, this would create problems wearing it on the hips as looks great on you. The kilt "riding up" happens on my thrifty and Sport kilt, but does not happen on any of my traditional, semi traditional buckled kilts. This is attributed to the support of the kilt being on the top of the garment for the velcro closure. The buckled kilt is placing the support distributed over a wider canvas lining that is below the top of the kilt. This is also supporting the shape of the kilt to allow a little splay above the fastening to insure it stays at the kilt waist whether one is sitting or standing. This is my humble observation over forty-five years of wearing a kilt.
It may be time for a new avitar
