Robert that is a truly beautiful kilt - my congratulations to the Lady Chrystel.
As an avid tweed kilt wearer, I am intrigued by the fabric itself - it must be a fairly lightweight tweed to hold such sharp pleats.
Take care,
Ham.

Wow squared. Is there such an illness as "tweed envy"?

Very nice, tell Lady Chrystel that she did a wonderful job. It seems that we are having a run on tweed kilts here, which is nice to see. BTW nice library.

Wonderful Pic! The Lady Chrystel does great work. You look wonderful. The Picture does make me want to read a good book by the fire with a scotch.

Ham,
Here are some informations about the tweed :
Woven using Hunters of Brora's world famous tweed yarn. This is a fine woolen material and is possibly the finest saxony cloth available in the UK.
This fabric was designed using traditional pattern themes by Kingcraig Fabrics of Brora, woven in Huddersfield and finished in Scotland. This is a rare opportunity to purchase the original Scottish light weight tweed.
Composition 100% New Cheviot Wool
Width: 150 cm 60 inches
Weight approx 500 grams per meter.
Chrystel is starting a heavy 750 grams per meter today !
We are excited... and a bit nervous This is such heavy fabric. If we are successful we will probably call it , not a tank, but a bunker !
Thank you all for your kind words.
