The V-neck and the waistcoat with that kilt you are wearing give you a real classic look, Arlen. In my opinion you have chosen an excellent role model, Prince Charles and Princess Camilla are far and away my most favourite royals and always such an elegantly dressed couple.

Charles was devoted to his Grandmother the late Queen Mother who was the daughter of the Earl of Strathmore, Charles has long been a supporter and keen wearer of Highlandwear whilst in Scotland, he has a significant amount of Scottish blood and regardless of any side issues, continues to wear the Kilt and keep highland wear in the public eye. and to be fair he wears it well.

I do note that the Duke of Windsor is wearing what has been called a "day plaid." It's probably the best example of someone wearing it I've seen on here, since it was first mentioned in a thread. Some of us have been wondering how it was properly done.

Nice look Arlen. Prince Charles is a great ambassador for the kilt. He always looks very well dressed in highland wear.

Thanks again for all the wonderful compliments. I am a fan of the man though I know many are not. Whether it's his valets or not, he's always so well turned out that he gives the rest of us a goal.

Dave, drat! How did you know? I thought I could get away with that secret holiday!

Sephy, the picture is of a Pictish warrior and was drawn by F. Lennox Campello. It's one of my favourite pieces of art.

I make no arguements for whether or not Prince Charles is one to look up to. All I know is he's a snappy dresser and almost always looks dapper.
