My last sport kilt was 115, and if I had to buy it again I'd skip the buckles, sew down the pleats, and add the pockets, so it'd be even more expensive. It's a great little kilt, trust me, but having a few kilts that I can do absolutely anything to without feeling too guilty is very appealing. Less than 40 bucks for a kilt that will do the job in the ring isn't bad at all.
I'll pick one of the Wallace tartan ones up on my next check, and post a review myself when I receive it.
Thanks for the advice, guys. BTW, are SWK sporran straps any good? Part of my SK sporran chain rig busted tonight and I'm looking for a replacement.

A thrifty with the fell sewn down makes a great knock-around kilt. A little effort can really improve the garment.

I have two thrifty kilts that I wear ALOT. If you don't mind velcro instead of straps, they're a very, very nice kilt for the money.

I've flown in a Thrifty Kilt...without the buckles it made it very easy to go through security. Just pop off the belt and sporran and right through. Only complaint comes in that the pleats do tend to get wrinkly because they aren't very deep. But for the $$, it is a really good deal.

My Wallace thrifty arrived today. I've done some repairs on my brokan sporran chain and it should be good to go for some public wear this evening, after which I'll post a review.
