What Jamie says is true it is very important to look and feel elegant and dashing, I would say feeling elegant is more important, one comes from the other if you feel dashing and elegant you will look dashing and elegant, you can not underestimate the effect attitude has on how you look.

Dashing can be done by itself but it usually requires a lot of props and a heck of an entrance (i.e. a sword, a white charger, cape of peacock feathers, a really big hat-see Highlander for details)
