Well, my strap came apart at the joint where the lobster clip is attached. Since I didn't know anyone out there, I had to go without my sporran. The camera got mixed up with everyone's luggage. I did learn one lesson while I was out there...
Walking the old down town strip in a kilt will get you noticed!!!! At one point, I was pretty sure that I was more of an attraction then the casinos were... I actually had one of the showgirls come up to me and ask to have her picture taken with me... I did get "kilt checked" more times than I can remember... However, the giggling group of sorority girls following me was kinda nice.
At the hockey game, actually ran into 4 other guys in kilts. One of them had gotten married just before the game!!! So there I was, wearing my Black Royal Stewart tank without my sporran and a black L.A. Kings jersey and here were these 4 guys all in their PC jackets, bow ties and kilts... I felt kinda shabby next to them, but we all had a great time.
One note though... The balcony on the 31st floor can be VERY windy... Good note, though... Not that many people up that high to see the fly-up.

Well, I finally got my camera back from my friends in L.A. and come to find out that I apparently had a better time than I remember... There isn't a single pic of me in my kilt that can be posted on a family friendly forum... But I really don't remember all of those girls... Stupid everclear drinks...

Being kilted in Vegas is a hoot (lots of positive comments). I was there just before Christmas and the only thing negative I can think of being kilted there is it gave the panhandlers on Fremont Street an easy way to get your attention (when they would comment on the kilt).
