I think it looks really good, and don't stress over having crisp pleats. Save that for the modern variant of the feile bheig, the tailored kilts we're mostly wearing these days. Just pleat your wrap on the bed or on the floor, pull it around you, and go.

Very nice. Great job. Search around a little for ideas of how to tuck and pin the upper part of the kilt. A recent thread with some nice photos of members in great kilts. From whom did you get the kilt from?

Rome, you look great! Super job on those pleats. After a doing the pleating a few times, it becomes second nature and you tend not to worrry about perfection.

Mind you I really enjoy wearing my tailored kilts, but there is really something special about pleating, wrapping and wearing a feileadh mhor!
