*GASP* does this mean I should toss the flask? Surely not! Actually, I usually use sporran hangers (although I'm liking straps a bit more) and was using those this time, so lowness wasn't a factor, but I definately noticed it alot more climbing uphill compared to the flats.

Don't toss it, man, EMPTY IT! The contents can't keep you warm from inside the flask, can they?

I find that unless there is a gale blowing pants under a kilt do not keep you any warmer Ifind that if the upper body is warm and you wear gloves you will be warm enough havent tested this below - 13 yet!
