Merry Christmas Hamish and good Yule. Marilyn and & I spent Christmas at home because of a blizzard. We were going to her sisters house about 20 miles from here but the snow was blowing sideways. Still we put something together and were warm and comfortable.

A belated Solstice and Hoiday wishes.
Thanks for the pic. I think kilt addiction is my primary addiction now, I found myself wondering more about which tartan that is than what's in the glass.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

Thanks to you too, Ron.
Well, I have no doubt that it is the healthier of the two addictions! The tartan is, I believe, a fashion tartan, and one that is known simply as "No.8" in the range made available by Lady Chrystel in France for her gorgeous double box-pleated kilts - which is what I am wearing here.
In the glass was non-vintage Moët et Chandon Champagne (to accompany the fish course of Scottish smoked salmon with crab and prawn terrine)

whilst, on the table a soft, young Beaune waited to accompany the main turkey course. I will not continue with the menu as I am making myself feel incredibly and unhealthily peckish!!!
Take care,
Ham.

Cheers, Hamish. I'll eat a grapefruit for you.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
