I've just looked at the introduction so far, but it does say socks. I think the second book is about making the changes you are talking about , but I'll find out when I get a chance to read through them.
It sounds like something I could do. And I am fairly sure hose tops could be done on one of these looms.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I looked at the instructions for the socks. I would need to figure out how to ad all the length between the cuff and the heel which would be about eight million rows. I'm still sure I could make hose tops out of a few of the projects, though.
I think that second book has a lot more information.

Wow, you really are multi-talented. I'm still stuck knitting anything square or rectangular! (My darling wife is going to teach me to make her bonnets soon, though.)
I think those socks look really comfortable. Enjoy Ravelry.

Thanks Arlen. Maybe you can learn in secret and surprise her with a bonnet! (That would be a nice motivation).

Tell me you did get those Christmas gifts done and off to Scotland.
Are any of your dance group going to the Vancouver Island workshop this year? I think Captmac and I are going. It's the weekend after the Portland Ball.

Now if you just scale that scarf down a wee bit - you'll have a set of traditional hose garters!
