Wow I hope some day I can get enough free time to visit some of those places. . .. And I hope on it's next sojorn, the Saltire deems it mission essential to dock on my airfield, armed gaurd would be willingly provided but not entirely essential

Wow. thanks for sharing these! You have nothing to apologize for the Saltire's visit. Living in the USA, it is always astonishing thinking of buildings a millennium old, and still in use! My previous church was built in the 1880s, and therefore had a reputation of being "the o-o-old church." But that's nothing compared to St. Mary's! Marsha and I are so pumped about forthcoming visit to the UK.
